My Crazy Hair Story

Heyyy Makeup Lovers!!!

This is what my hair look likes when it is clean and has no products in it to tame it down. My hair is way more difficult to style the day after I wash my hair then when it is a few days dirty. Yes I did say a few days because if I was to wash my hair every day like some people can then I would be rocking out with a hay stack on top of my head. I have dry course, frizzy, thick curly hair that has its own mind. Right now my hair is acting like a chia pet growing outward because I’m in need of a haircut!
I used to hate my hair back when I was a kid because it was always a plain in the a$$ to brush out the snarls and to style it. I didn't mind having too much hair I just mind the work I had to put into it. My snarls were so bad when I was a kid that combs and brushes would break in my hair, no lie.
Another thing I hated about my hair is that kids made fun of it; of course they did because kids love to make fun of others for having something different or for being different. Which it shouldn't be that way but it is.
I think it’s funny how the comments I get about my hair now are so different than the ones I got when I was younger. I hear how people would pay a million bucks for my hair because it is thick, curly, and beautiful! When I was in high school I felt like the ugly friend in the group because people would tell me tips and trick on how to make my hair look better or they would bring their hair straightener to school to straighten out my hair. I knew they were just trying to help but back then it felt like a makeover, also back I didn’t think I was pretty so those kind of things would always get to me. When I was a senior in high school I would straighten my hair all the time because I felt like my hair only looked good when I put a flat iron to it. It takes two hours to straighten my hair that’s why I only straighten my hair for weddings now.
Honestly that is not the worst of it, I think the most horrifying and funny hair story is the time that my brother and I got lice. Let me tell you something if you had long thick hair that was past your bum like I did, you DO NOT want to get lice because bad things happen. I’ll never forget it.
I think I was in second grade at the time and my head would not stop itching, it took me a few trips down to the nursing office for the nurse to see any lice. I don’t know if it was because my hair was so thick or what but they could not see any lice when they kept checking for bugs. When they did find those little creepy bugs hiding in my hair the mission of trying to comb eggs out of my crazy thick long hair began and did not end in a good way. My poor mom spent hours combing my hair before she went rogue with a pair of scissors and then all of a sudden we were both crying on the bathroom floor with all my hair around us. We both did not want to cut my hair but at the time we had no choice. After that I felt like I was a walking square because when my hair is above my shoulders it puffs out into like a square shape, it’s just not a good look to have. That was a lessons learn. Short haircuts are not for me. As I grew older the more I love my hair, yes there are times I want to shave all of it off but at the end of the day my hair is beautiful there are just tricks I have to do on a day to day basis unless if it is time for a haircut then there just nothing I can do with my hair. I feel like my hair just ignores all the hair spray and moose I put in to it, like it’s telling me to go to the hair salon or else you are just going to have a bad hair day. I’m telling you my hair is alive, okay I’m being dramatic but that’s how I feel sometimes. I wouldn’t mind feeling a little lighter but I know I’m going to need my hair for the winter lol. I know I am lucky to have hair like mine and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I no longer wish I had so and so hair or want to get the Keratin Treatment to tone my hair down, I love my crazy hair!
Everyone has their own hair story, what is yours?
Have a good day or night!
Much love from your crazy makeup lover!!!!

Benefit Fakeup Concealer Review

Heyy Makeup Lovers!!!!!

The Fakeup hydrating crease-control concealer is like magic in a tube, it's almost everything I need to wake up my skin in the mornings. I'm sure most people feel this way but I'm at my ugliest and worst in morning with my red eyes, dark circles, and big fizzy hairs going every which way. The red eyes and fizzy hair are an easy fix but for my dark circles I had to do some looking around. Also my skin likes to get dry underneath my eyes and I couldn't cover it up because my makeup would just make it more noticeable. So not only did I have dark circles but I also had dry bumpy skin, blah.
I been dying to try out this concealer but I really didn’t want to spend $24.00 on a product that I wasn’t sure about, but then Ulta Was giving away a free gift when you spend $40 or more on benefit products so I did a little shopping.
I love this product for so many different reasons; number one is making my skin look more alive by covering up my dark circles and brighten up my skin. I love how this product blends like a dream; it doesn’t cause me to pull at my skin like some concealers do. All you have to do is pat the product outward into your skin and it will blend in a matter of seconds, that’s why this is so perfect for the busy girls with no time in the mornings. Not only does this feel light on the skin but it also keeps it moisturize under my eyes for hours. The best part of this concealer is that it does not crease into my laugh lines. I hate calling them wrinkles at the age of 25 so to me they are laugh lines. I don’t know what it is but this product will not move into my laugh lines and you don’t need any powder to set the product, to me that is amazing! All the other concealers I have used would always cover really well but would cake up before the day was over and I hated that.
another good thing about this product is that if you do end up feeling dryness underneath your eyes, you can you use the moisturizing balm side of the stick and swipe it on, then smooth it out with your finger. I haven’t needed to do this yet sense it is summer time but I’m sure when the cold winter comes along I will need to do this. Not only is it an awesome product but it is also travel friendly!

Here are before and after pics.

What I like to do is first apply on my foundation or BB Cream and then I take the concealer and swipe it underneath my eyes, then I pat the product in an out-ward motion.

Now I more wake and ready for the day!
Have a good day or night!

Makeup Look of the Day: Less is More

Heyyyy makeup lovers!!!!
I don't about you but I feel like the best makeup looks on a girl can do for herself is the no makeup or beach glow look. I feel like every woman looks her best with those looks, well I do. :) Saturday my family and I went to my aunt’s beach house to celebrate my grandma 80th birthday. I wasn't going to put any makeup on because I knew I was going to be swimming in the water and sun tanning at the beach. Since I am a crazy makeup lover I just couldn't leave my house without my bronzer and mascara. I decide to use the products that I know wouldn't be dipping off my face, after many summers of raccoon eyes and foundation streaks I have become aware what works for summer beach days and what doesn't.
I find it funny how a little makeup can brighten up your face and make you feel so much better. I wasn't even trying to make a makeup of the day look but after I applied my makeup I was like wow I look good and I need to post this look. I also need to stop bragging about myself and tell you girls how I got this beautiful beachy glowy look.

For the Face:
Before any makeup I applied my Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 all over my face. You must applied a moisturizer with SPF to protect your skin all year round not just for summer time. The sun never takes a day off from giving us mean UVA and UVB rays, it even get us when the sun is hiding behind the clouds.
I don’t have many rules for applying makeup but applying moisturizer with SPF before makeup is my number one rule.
After I let my face dry I applied Pacifica Multi-Mineral BB Cream all over my face and then I added Benefit Fake Up Concealer under my eyes to hide my dark circles and to brighten my face.
For that sun look I applied Benefit Hoola Bronzer onto my temples, underneath my cheek bones, and on my jawline.
For the pop of color I added Benefit Posie Tint onto my cheeks. This is a lip and cheek stain so it stays on longer than your normal powder or cream blush.
I should have used High Beam by Benefit instead of M.A.C Soft and Gentle but I love how much better the Soft and Gentle looks in the sun. High Beam is a highlighter but it’s kind of a stain like Posie Tint.
For the Eyes:
I just applied my all-time favorite mascara Benefit they’re Real!
I love using this because it doesn’t run down my face when my eye lashes get wet, it just stays.
For the lips:
Before anything I applied a lip bum first because I knew I was going to use a lip stain.
I applied Posie Tint onto my lips, let it dry and then added on NYX Butter Gloss in Éclair onto my lips.
And…
There’s your pretty less is more beach look.
I hope this was helpful to any of you girl that hate going to the beach bare face.
I hope you have a good day or night!!!
