Makeup Look of the Day: A Fun Purple Look!

Heyyy Makeup Lovers!!
I hope you girls are staying warm and dry on this cold and rainy day. Well it’s cold and rainy where I am anyway. Any who since I am too lazy to go back out in the rain I decided it is a good time to write about my makeup look of the day! I hope you girls like it when I do makeup look of the day since I have been doing so many of them lately.
 photo 005-4_zpsd3b714ce.jpg
Lately I’ve been into the color purple, not just in my makeup but also with my clothes too. I keep wearing the color purple. As I am writing this I am wearing a purple sweat shirt haha. For this week I did a very smoky purple eye and yesterday I just did a fun and easy purple look. I think purple might be my new favorite color. If you want to know how to do this fun, easy, and purple eye look then read on.
For the eyes:
After I applied the eyelid primer I took a flat eye shadow brush and pick up a purple eye shadow that wasn’t to dark but not light and put it on my eyelid and up to the crease. You also want to go underneath the eye with the same color.
Then I took my blending brush and blended out the eye shadow using a windshield wiper motion in the crease.
Then I applied a light lavender color to the tear ducts with an eyeliner brush. If you don’t have that color then used a light pink or even a white. Also used the same color for your brow bone.
I took a clean blending brush and put a metallic silver purple in and above the crease.
For some sparkle I put a light glitter purple eye shadow on top of the purple on the eyelids.
To finish off the eyes, I added a matte black eye shadow to my lash line and if you want you girls can take a smudge brush and just smudge it on the lash line for more of a Smokey look.
Don’t forget the mascara, put on tons, tons, and tons of it. Lol
For the face:
I just used my BB cream that day. I didn’t really feel like putting my whole face on. Haha
I just used a light pink color to the cheeks and a light pink highlight color on the cheek bones.
To added a little color to my white face I added bronzer to my temples, under the cheeks, under the chin, and a little on the nose.
For the lips:
I just mixed a whole bunch of different pinks and nudes colors to get the perfect pinky nude lips. Well for me anyways.
I hope this was nice and easy for you girls.

Makeup Look of the Day: A J. LO Look!

Hey makeup lovers!!!
Photobucket
Last night I saw this makeup tutorial for a J. Lo look from the Grammys by Pixiwoo on youtube and I loved it soo much that I tried it on myself today. It turns out to be much harder then it looks. If you are going to do this look then you really need a very small eyeliner or paint brush because the black eyeliner goes around the whole eye. To do this look I:
Put a taupe color in the crease with a blending brush and then I put a little of the brown eye shadow in the outer crease.
I applied a really pretty copper color on the whole lid up to the crease and then I put the same color under my eye.
Then I added a shimmer pink with a hint of gold in it on top of the copper color.
I also added the same pink gold color in the tear ducts and went under the eye.
Then I Put a matte white eye shadow on the brow bone to add a high light
Now the hard part, I took the thinnest eyeliner brush that I had and a cream black eyeliner then I added a thin black line on the top lash line, around the tear ducts, under the lash line and then wing it out at the outer corners.
Then I added a lot of mascara on the top lash line.
If you want to do this look make sure you do not add eyeliner to the water line and mascara to the bottom eye lashes.
Then for the J.Lo glow I added a shimmer white high light to the cheek bones and a peachy color blush to the cheeks.
I then applied bronzer to my temples and under my cheeks to add some color and to make my face look thinner.
since she had a shimmer bronze and nude lip, I put on a nude color lipstick and a bronze shimmer lip gloss on my lips.
Then voila! I now look like J. Lo well… almost lol
I love this look it is simple but it added such a nice look to the eyes. This is kind of hard to do because of the eyeliner. But if you have a thin brush and a good cream eyeliner then it shouldn’t be to hard to achieve.
I hope It helped you girls turn into a J.LO! hahaha

Just so Simple

Heyyy Makeup Lovers
Photobucket

Heyyy Makeup Lovers
It's another snowy weekend here in New England, but at least I have it off this time lol. I didn't get to do a makeup tutorial this weekend because I don't really know where to film right now. But I have an awesome series coming up soon that my friend Ally suggested. I can't wait to get started on it, it’s going to be awesome! I think a lot of people would like it too. I hope. Remember you guys can ask or suggest makeup ideas to me. Like if you were going to a dressy event and don't know what kind of look to do. I'm your girl to help, so please comment below or even e-mail me at xsassyletsmakeupx@yahoo.com. Also if you know me personally and want me to do your makeup I'm happy to do it! So don't be shy. :-)
Okay Okay now on with the blog!
For the past two winters, my skin has been breaking out into this big bumping rash on my cheeks. It was really bad last year so I used Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream to get rid of it because I thought I was allergic to a new face cream that I was using.
But it was happening again to me back in January and I didn't try any new face creams. So I'm thinking the real reason why I am breaking out in the winter is because my skin changes with the seasons. During the summer my face is soo oily in the T-zone that I can't really wear foundation or any face powders during the day. I can only wear BB cream or a tinted moisturizer during those summer mouths. And during the winter my face becomes really sensitive and gets really red.
So after hearing good things about Simple skin care that you can get at the drug stores, I decide to just try it and see if it will give me good skin again. After trying the facial wipes, toner, and the replenishing rich moisturizer I had to go back to Target and buy the rest of the skin care line. For right now this skin care line is just awesome, it makes my skin feel and look good. And it doesn't get red that much. I like the fact that even the night cream doesn't feel too heavy on my skin. There are just some skin care products that feel like you’re wearing a mask of moisturizer to bed. I just hate that!
Another plus to this skin care line is that a little goes a long way. All you really need is like a dime size for the Facial Wash gel, Vital Vitamin Day Cream, and Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, and a nickel size for the Vital Vitamin Night Cream.

The products I used that help me get back my natural healthy-looking skin are:
Simple
Cleaning Facial Wipes refresh and nourish my skin while it removes my makeup and it can remove waterproof mascara too.
Refreshing Facial Wash Gel thoroughly but gently cleansed and revives sensitive skin.
Soothing Facial Toner has Chamomile to help soften and soothe and witch hazel to help tone and tighten your pores, and it also has allantoin that helps soften your skin too. Make sure you used toner after you clean your face and right before your face cream. You girls should be using toner twice a day.
Replenishing Rich Moisturizer is a 12 hour day moisturizer with no SPF in it which is really good for picture days! It leaves your skin feeling replenished and nourished all day.
It has..
Glycerin that hydrates and nourishes the skin
Bisabolol that helps soothe and calm the skin
Allantoin that helps soften the skin
Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF15 protects and moisturizes skin all day has the same INGREDIENTS as the rich moisturizer. But it has VITAMIN E in it to help improve the skin condition.
Vital Vitamin Night Cream helps restore and replenish the skin's moisture balance while you are sleeping. This cream has the same Vitamins and the ingredients Bisabolo and GLYCERIN as the day cream but it has the Ingredient BORAGE OIL which helps soften the skin.
All of these products have PRO-VITAMIN B5 to help restore, soften and smooth the skin. There are no DYES, ARTIFICIAL PERFUMES, and HARSH IRRITANTS to upset the skin. They are also Dermatologist tested too. :) I hope my skin will keep loving this skin care line but I will have to wait and see.
For those of you that have try the Simple skin care line, Love it or hate it? Why?
Have a good day your night!
Much love from your crazy makeup lover!!

Makeup Look of the Day!!: Just A Fun Blue Eyeliner Look!

Heyy Makeup Lovers!!

Photobucket

I was going to do a Valentine’s day makeup tutorial this morning but... what happen was that I was supposed to wash my makeup brushes last night and have everything set up for the video but I fell asleep. I was just so tried yesterday; I think it was from all the snow that I had to deal with this weekend lol. So I just ended up doing a fun blue wing out eyeliner look for you girls as a makeup look of the day! Maybe I will try to make a date night look makeup tutorial this weekend sense I have it off.

For the Face:
I applied A BB cream by Maybelline all over the face.
Then I just added the $1 Concealer by ELF where I needed it.
Then I also added a shimmer light rose color on my cheeks for just a pretty glow. I used the $1 Elf all over stick in Persimmon.
Don't you just love makeup that only cost a dollar, I know I do.
For the Eyes:
I applied an eye shadow base by NYX
Then I put this really pretty shimmer champagne color with a hint of silver in it all over the lids from my Sephora blockbuster palette. This color ends up looking like a silver color once it is on your eye lids.
Then with the only clean eyeliner brush I had I then applied Color Tattoo in 40 Tenacious Teal as eyeliner. I try my hardest to wing out my eyeliner the best I could. One side was a little bigger than the other but you couldn't really tell unless you really look at it. I also added a teal color eye shadow to the liner just to make sure it stays put and to fix it up a little.
Then I used ELF cream eyeliner in teal as eyeliner for my waterlines.
To make the look complete I added some mascara then BOOM! My eyes were done. :)
O and I also put some nude lip gloss on my lips.
See how easy this look is to do. If you can't wing out your eyeliner then just don't wing it but it never hurts to try. :)
I hope you like this easy and fun look.
Have a good day or night!

Makeup Look of the Day: Sunset Over the Ocean eyes

Heyyyy Makeup Lovers!!
 photo 011-4_zpsc36d6621.jpg
Here's a nice tropical look to brighten up your snowy cold day!
I just wanted to do a look that represented a sunset over the ocean in a tropical area since everyone is getting snowed in for the weekend. I feel like I needed to add a little bit of color into everybodys day. :) Can you girls tell how much I just want this snow to go away and the sunshine and heat to come back into my life.

The Makeup Look of the day: A Pretty BridesMinds Look.

Hello Makeup Lovers!

Yesterday I wrote a really long blog on how to get this really pretty look for bridesmaids, I did it for my brothers’ wedding but stupid me I accidentally shut off my laptop and everything that I wrote was gone. I was soo mad because I was almost done, all I had to do was proof read it lol. This is not the first time that this has happen to me. I have learned this lesson one too many times. I don’t know why blogger.com doesn’t save my work all the time, it only saves when it feel likes it errr. Anyways, I refuse to type in my blogger account. Word has become my new best friend. At least word will save my work for me, I hope!

 photo 421755_999527636935_222119278_n.jpg

I wish I had taken some close up pictures of this look but I wasn’t thinking of myself on that day. I got so busy helping out that I just forgot. Sorry But I hope I can do a good job explaining how to do this look.
For the face: Before anything I applied a moisturizer with no SPF in it all over my face and then let it sit for a minute before I did anything else.
Then I applied Clean Slate Poreless 12-hr perfecting primer by Tarte all over the face and on the eyelids.
Then I added my favorite Foundation in Redness Solutions by Clinique with a foundation brush.
Then I applied a light concealer underneath my eyes to cover the little dark circles I had that day and to add a little brightness to my skin. I used the $1 concealer by ELF. It works awesome for the price.
Then I added Face powder to my forehead, nose, chin, and under my cheek bones to take away the shine and to set my makeup. I used ELF Mineral Booster in Sheer.
I added a nice pretty pink blush to my cheeks for a pop of color and to prevent my face from looking wash out in pictures. I used one of the blushes from my Coastal Scent Blush Palette.
For the cheek bones I put on a nice matte Vanilla color eye shadow for a nice highlight.
And for a little color I added bronzer underneath my cheek bones, forehead, and to my temples.
If you are going to an event that you know there will be lots of pictures taking, then you really want to apply a little more makeup on then you would any other day, so your face doesn’t look washed out in the pictures. Also make sure you don’t wear products that have more then SPF 15 in it. Because if you wear too much SPF then your face will be glowing in the picture and not in a good kind of way. Believe me, it has happen to me so many times before and I never knew why until I read about it in a makeup artist book. The reason why this happens is because SPF reflects the light away from the face which is a good thing from the sun, but not for your pictures. So no more than SPF 15 people! That is why I used a Moisturizer with no SPF because my foundation already has SPF 15 in it.
For the eyes:
I applied my face powder on my eyelids to prevent any creasing with my handy dandy blending brush.
Then I added an eye shadow base by NYX all over the lids, brow bone, and underneath the eyes.
Most of the eye shadows I used was from my Romantic Eye Collection by Too Faced. :)

 photo 056-1_zpse1f47557.jpg

I applied Bouquet Toss (matte off white color) all over the lids and up to the brow bone with my blending brush
I then added I DO (gray color) to the outer corner of the eyes with a flat eye shadow brush.
I also added a darker gray onto I Do.
I applied a matte white color from the inner corner into the middle of the eye then added some Soul mates (shimmer white) on top of the matte white.
I also put Soul mates on the tear ducts too.
Then go underneath the eye with the same color.
For a nice highlight I added a matte white color to the brow bones.
To add a little drama to the look I apply black cream eyeliner by Maybelline to the top lash lines.
For my water lines I used my Favorite black eye pencil by Sephora.
To make sure that my eyeliners would stay put for most of the day, I apply a matte black eye shadow on both of my lash and water lines.
For the eyelashes, I applied the Falsie Volume Express waterproof mascara then I added small false eyelashes to the outer corner of the lash line to elongate the eyes.
Then for a pop of color I added a nice pink fuchsia color to the lips by using a Sephora lip liner in fuchsia and then applied a fuchsia lip color by using the Yves Saint Laurent lipstick in 7 Le Fuchsia.
I hope you girls loved this look as much as I did and hope you all have a good day or night.
Ps I saved after every word this time hahah.

Makeup Look of the Day:Super Bowl Look!

Heyyyy Makeup Lovers!!
I am so mad at blogger for not saving my hard work that I did today! But I will show you the super bowl look at least. lol
 photo 86e44cd2-6609-4251-b0d1-21410ef25d6c_zps8a4f8f69.jpg

Lets get our game faces on and whip out our makeup brushes haha. All I did was put a gold cream eyeliner all over the lids and put a gold eye shadow all over it. To represent both teams I did the gold eye and then added a purple eyeliner on both the top and bottom lash line and then did a nice bright red lip. to add some glimmer I put gold gritter on the tear ducts. Then for some nice high light I added a shimmer white to the brow and cheek bones. I didn't wanna go to crazy on the Superbowl makeup because I didn't want to get booed or punched in the face by a patriots fan. hahaha!

Here are some more pics of the look.
